THFC Clearly Furious With Erik Lamela

It remains to be seen how many games Erik Lamela misses, but currently the total is 2. The Argentine wasn’t listed as injured ahead of the Leeds United clash, and now José Mourinho has confirmed that the boy will also miss the clash against Brentford on Tuesday night in the League Cup.

The Press Association’s Jonathan Veal has just Tweeted that the 28-year-old is not available for selection in respect of Tottenham’s next game.

The business of Lamela, Lo Celso and Reguilon being in violation of the UK government’s Coronavirus guidelines exploded this weekend as a private photo of the assembled friends and family was somehow inadvertently published on Instagram.

Duncan Castles decided to Tweet that he understood that two of the Spurs boys had tested positive for COVID-19, but then deleted his post upon sight of the Spurs team for Leeds, as Reguilon was on the bench, opposed to shielding.

Clearly Spurs are furious with Lamela, a player that has been indulged endlessly during his time at Tottenham.

There seems to be a problem in moving unwanted players out at this club, mentioning no names…. DANNY ROSE, but it doesn’t look good for Erik.

My guess is that Lamela will be gone by the summer

Only Mourinho knows how he will react to this error of judgement, but we all know the man does not forgive easily, and he has gone the extra mile with Reguilon , so let’s see what happens. I think Lamela is fortunate to have somehow lasted so long at this club.

Although I have time for Lamela for the energy and commitment he brings as a sub, his endless injury absences have been detrimental for the squad and he has to go.

Truth be known we have probably tried to offload Lamela for years but has never materialised either because he was overpriced or simply no takers!!

Why only him? Reggie gets on the subs bench, didn’t even say sorry.
Must of been at Coco’s house, eating Jose’s piggy.

The sooner Spurs can get rid of Lamela, the better. Regardless of this misstep.
