Harry Kane has drawn criticism for backing into players and winning fouls recently, but Crystal Palace defender Gary Cahill doesn’t see anything wrong in the striker’s action.
Kane has backed into Aaron Cresswell, Adam Lallana and Gabriel Magalhaes in the Premier League this season.
He won free-kicks every time, but observers claim that he deliberately does that to draw a foul and he has been asked to stop before he causes some serious injury to a player.
But Cahill says that nothing is wrong with the act and that the England captain wasn’t the first player to do that.
He says that he doesn’t see it as a bad thing, rather he sees it as an act by a clever player.
He adds that when he was with the England national team camp with Kane, he noticed that the striker knew how to use his body well.
He told SkySports as quoted by Sun Sports: “I think that’s just part of football.
“I think an element of that is being clever and experienced and knowing when you can maybe draw a foul in.
“I’ve seen it numerous times when I was with England and training with Harry, that he just uses his body well.
“I think (Heung-Min) Son does the same – they use their body very well.
“They put their body in between the ball and yourself and any sort of contact, they know that potentially there could be fouls and in and around the box is dangerous.
“I study the opposition but I would say also you know the opposition, with players like that, you’ve seen them year after year so you know their strengths and it’s just how best you can deal with them on the day.”
Kane has remained one of the leading strikers in the league and if this act helps him get more goal, then Tottenham fans will want him to continue.

Harry is becoming more & more streetwise by the second & so are of other players, no more stupid c@#ts on the pitch when getting getting & making tactical fouls are concerned although I was worried with a few of Sissoko’ fouls after his early booking,
He played on the edge yesterday in…… as I say a very difficult away game for us.
Take the point & see how Liverpool struggle there in 2 games time, then you complainers will all be happy with the point.
Liverpool had the easier game & got outplayed for much of that game & shouldve lost to a Pen that wasn’t given.
But we already know about the supposedly “big club name” privilege that Liverpool & Man.U get all the time.
Can’t believe ref looked on the screen closeup & still gave no Pen to Fulham.
