Wales caretaker manager, Rob Page claims that this is the first time that Gareth Bale has looked like he is where he is enjoying his football after the striker returned to national team football this week.
Bale had been struggling for form and with injuries during the final years of his stay at Real Madrid.
The Welshman had been sidelined for much of that time after Zinedine Zidane told him that he was surplus to requirements.
His situation likely made him unhappy and unfit, but he has now secured a season-long loan deal to Tottenham.
Spurs have taken their time to get him back to fitness, and although he still has some way to go in terms of getting and staying fully fit, Page says he is the fittest he has ever known him to be.
He said as quoted by Mirror Football: “I have had a conversation with Gareth and he is rearing to go and is fighting fit.
“If I am honest since I have been involved with the squad , it is the first time he has been at a club where he seems to be enjoying his football and his training.
“He looks fit and feels fit.
“It is good to have a fully fit Gareth Bale involved in the squad.”

He’s Feels fit? Hands off.
