Tottenham interest in young winger creates conflicting reports among Portuguese media

One piece of Spurs transfer news that has been making the rounds in the media recently is the report that the Lilywhites want to make a move for Sporting Lisbon’s Jovane Cabral (GivemeSport).

It is a surprising link considering that he isn’t known as one of their best players.

However, he was linked with a move to the Tottenham Stadium as Jose Mourinho look to bolster his options.

The report was subject to confirmation and now conflicting reports are coming from the home country of Sporting.

Record via Sportwitness claims that the Cape Verdean footballer isn’t edging any closer to a move to Jose Mourinho’s side as the earlier reports had claimed.

However, A Bola, also via Sportwitness delivered another update on the matter and they claimed that their source had assured them that he was attracting the attention of Tottenham.

Sporting Lisbon is famous for feeding top European sides with their players, their most recent high-profile export to the Premier League is Bruno Fernandes who moved to Manchester United.

Being Portuguese, Mourinho will hope to get some talent from his homeland, but it seems that Cabral may not be one that will move to North London this summer.

The Lilywhites have had a fruitful transfer window so far and they are expected to make new additions to their team before the transfer window closes.

No the template is set, the players we’re targeting are battle hardened veterans like Hart and Doherty, even Hojbjerg though only 25 has plenty of Premier League experience, or very young like Alfie Devine.

Changes happening at the recruitment level according to the Guardian. So at least Levy is acknowledging he has to make changes. All good. The Jose effect maybe
