Tottenham have had a busy summer transfer window and there is more to come after Joe Hart and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg signed for the Lilywhites.
The latest transfer rumour involving the Lilywhites is a juicy one, albeit ridiculous, after they were tipped to land Luis Suarez from Barcelona.
The Uruguayan has reportedly been told that he is no longer wanted at Camp Nou by the Catalans’ new manager, Ronald Koeman and he will now be allowed to leave the club on a free transfer.
Tottenham have been looking for a backup striker for a long time now. It is a problem that they hope to solve in this transfer window.
They have been linked with moves for the likes of Callum Wilson and Victor Osimhen before now and Suarez is the latest name on the list of targets.
Micky Gray is excited at the prospect of the former Liverpool man turning out for Spurs and he claims that Jose Mourinho will work well with the South American because the manager does well with older players.
“Do you go and get Suarez or do you go and get [Gareth] Bale?,” Gray told talkSPORT.
“Then you’re looking at the ages of the players in the squad.
“He actually works well with more experienced players, Jose, just look at his Inter Milan team.
“The only stumbling block in [a move for Suarez] is his wages.
“What Daniel Levy has to look at is that there is no transfer fee, and that he can afford to pay his £400k-£500k-a-week wages.
“Luis Suarez has got the ego, got the background and the track record to go to Spurs and say: ‘You can play Harry Kane but you’re playing me as well.'”
I do not even know where to start with this one. This is similar to the Gareth Bale and Ainsley Maitland-Niles transfer rumours. It simply will not happen.
There is no way that Spurs could afford Bales wages, there is no way that Maitland-Niles would sign for us and there is no way that the club could afford Suarez salary either.
The media will continue to try and take us for fools and while they may fool some, they will not fool us here at TBH.

No Eze money then, for £19.5m I would of got him in.
For free? Yes please. A pound less than Kane a week.
Messi and Suarez are on their way
Suarez at spurs would make me sick. Perfect example of football privilege. No other job in the world could you bite a work colleague in front of 20m+ witnesses and not lose your job, you actually get promoted. Maguire is another example, if one of us punched a cop then tried to buy our way out, no way so we get suspended sentence.
Add Messi while we are at it and bale. What a team we will have. Got to love the transfer window and it’s open till October
20 years and pundits & fans still sprout this crap…. “it……aint…..apanning…….”
