This might be the season that we will eventually see Ryan Sessegnon shine for Tottenham after the Lilyhwhites turned down loan requests from top sides for his signature.
The young Englishman joined Spurs last summer after his beloved Fulham were relegated from the Premier League in their first season back.
He had played over 100 times for the Cottagers in the Championship and in their only season in the Premier League at the time.
He was signed by Mauricio Pochettino who wanted him to be eased gradually into the Spurs starting XI.
However, the Argentinean was sacked and replaced with Jose Mourinho who didn’t have the time to develop the young talent as he needed to get Spurs back on track following a poor start to the season.
This made Sessegnon see less and less action until the end of the campaign and it was suggested that he might have to leave temporarily to get more football under his belt.
Clubs like Barcelona and Celtic wanted to take him on loan for this season, but Spurs have turned down those offers according to The Athletic because they have plans to use him in their first team this season.
It claims that Mourinho is now prepared to hand him more chances and that the club has put him on a program so that he can gain weight and become able to deal with the physicality of opponents.

Nah, not sold on Jose yet. Oh how i miss POCH. This team has too much depth and young exciting players to stay down. We will have a trophy of some kind this year! I will keep watching but this BLM crap needs to get out of football now!
Let’s hope so, Pochettino did it for 5 years so ‘the best manager who ever walked this earth’ should be doing it with his eyes shut. The billing Jose (rightly to an extent) gets in some quarters means it should really be a walk in the park. Right?
