Yesterday we brought you our thoughts on the Harry Winks to Manchester City, which in a nutshell consisted of two thoughts, ‘yes’ and ‘please’. Harry Winks hasn’t done much wrong in his 7 seven seasons at Spurs, equally he’s achieved little of note.
The Manchester Evening News has good local contacts and the quotes aren’t vaguely ambiguous, in fact it sounds like a comprehensive ‘no, thanks’. Which is hardly a shock when looks at the depth of Pep Guardiola’s squad.

As per a recent comment from me, it is evident that since Mourinho’s team were installed, information has been more free flowing than it had been under the somewhat disillusioned mood at Hotspur Way during Poch’s end of days. So could it be that Mourinho wants Winksy gone?
It’s not improbable, however, until the situation with Tanguy Ndombele comes to a head, we have to look at the Spurs midfield without the Frenchman. Also Spurs have a hell of a lot of games next season.

Christian.
I got the spelling mixed up but you new exactly who I meant.Christian Ziege. We had another player Reto Ziegler which confused me.
Zeiger had a Wacker on him. Could play.
Plus C Zieger,L Holtby and S Freund
He has only failed to impress at Barca because they were playing him out of position on the left wing. He is a central attacking midfielder all day. Thats where he was so good for the scouse.
So did Barca.
Adios amigos.
Have a good day all.
Back late this eve.
Arguably grass not always greener, Coutininho’s form slumped post Liverpool!
Always a tad vulnerable defensively when during their dominant era winning league titles, domestic trophies and CL trophies under Guardiola they were invincible. Having since lost the plot, heavily reliant on Messi Bayern simply ripped them apart.
Yes we are.
I remember it well deal struck between AS and JK shaking hands on his boat in Monaco!.
Also aren’t we indebted to Lord Sugar for saving Spurs from Bankruptcy??
Oh the ignomy of their own player coming on to put the final nail in their coffin. How did they allow that to happen? Can’t for the life of me understand how Barca cannot find room for Coutinho in their squad
Best thing Alan sugar did. That and build the old south stand
We had one. Jurgen Klinsmann!
But playing a high line is risky which I suppose is irrelevant when blitzing goals!
Bloody Germans. They’re so good at things
The quick tempo incisive movement for Bayerns first goal was wundevar!
The highs and lows of football. Thats why we love it!!
When son put us one up I’ll never forget the weight of noise in the south stand. HEEAAVVY. Then seeing families crying at the end.
Aided by 2 overlapping full backs delivering quality crosses nothing pedestrian about the fluidity of Bayerns play, just sayin!
Indeed but the scoreline was hardly flattering as we conceded what was it 3 or 4 in the last 10 mins?
Well at least we didn’t lose 8-2
My man clasford sterling MBE (I love saying I know a MBE man) anyway he says he’s looking forward to working with his old mate Chris Powell at Hotspur way. Southend had a couple of clasfords boys. He says he’ll be great at Tottenham and the community. Big up u self Chris. You’re on the big firm now🌚
Previously Isco was the flavour of the month, now constantly linked to Dyabala. Sorry to disappoint. Lets get real, he wont be joining!!
You’ve lost me but thats not difficult!!
I’ll give him some props. He served up Marcus and joshy well at the lamex. I think it was him anyway.🌚
I believe his his mentor at Spurs was Scotty Parker.
When he first burst onto the scene after his debut goal against West Ham I had high hopes for the lad predicting he would be a future Spurs and England captain!!. Wrong on both counts!
He sets example and gives hope to the youngers coming through apparently
Fairly or unfairly what does neat and tidy Winks actually do.
a) He rarely imposes imposes himself on the midfield
b) He fails to make any defence splitting passes (correction ah one he did against the Foxes)
c) He fails to score goals, that when he does get into shooting range he shoots wide
I just want winks to improve. A lot. Had he not come through the ranks he’d be gone.
