“Very, Very Good Player” Bergwijn Gets Glowing Reference From Van Aanholt [Video]

The Tottenham squad will be looking forward to playing with Steven Bergwijn, based on how well he is thought of by his international pals.

Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk told the Daily Star this week that the 22-year-old winger is a “great player”, and another of his Dutch compatriots Crystal Palace left-back Patrick Van Aanholt – had similar things to say.

In an otherwise cringey Sky Sports interview, held in the back of his car in a desperate attempt to feign drama on another boring edition of the tired deadline-day format, Van Aanholt said that Spurs have got a “very, very good player” in Bergwijn, who arrived from PSV Eindhoven this week.

Bergwijn could make his debut in tomorrow’s visit of Manchester City.

Jose must’ve known that the quality striker we need is cup tied at another big club. Save that money (plus the rest) till none of them are. (Shoulda got a temp in though) I reckon Jose has a big plan for HIS team next season. You can see it in his smug face. You wait till I start to mould my young exciting team. This is just rescuing what’s left of the season. Jose. Stay kool and stick to the plan. (There’s no way Jose will let these young managers out football him. He’s football wiser than most of them put together. Jose spurs. Stuff it up them. I think he wants to stuff it up rookie Frank the most😁

Probably a good piece of business by Levy, young, talented and inexpensive, but not what we needed. This is an example of exactly why we go wrong in the transfer market. If the fans can spot where we need reinforcements, why can’t the board? There is a simple explanation. The board pay lip service to Levy and there primarily to deflect any criticism of his dealings. If we examine some of his recent decisions, he is actually depleting the club’s assets, mainly the playing staff. Consider that he valued Eriksen at near £150 mill, despite paying him £70,000 per week, much lower than his peers, Kane, LLoris, Alli and Son. Now Mourinho is praising Levy for selling him to Inter for £17.5 mill, which crudely means that there is a nominal loss of over £100 mill on the player’s value in one year. Let us also consider how the values of both Danny Rose and Victor Wanyama have been allowed to disintegrate. Both these players are likely to walk out of the door on free transfers, having been previously valued at approximately £35-40 mill and £20-25 mill respectively. So, by my admittedly crude mathematics, the club will have allowed three valuable assets to fall in value in excess £150 mill. So much for the shrewdest negotiator in the Pl, but there is one fact which cannot be repudiated, he remains the highest paid.

Get a preseason into these lot along with those who’ll be coming in and we’re gonna challenge hard. Watch. Touch it up a bit in the following window and we’re gone clear. BIG things are coming. I don’t care what anyone says. “CONQUER”.
