Jose Mourinho has revealed it was he who made the decision to send Jan Vertonghen up for his stoppage-time winner at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Vertonghen’s expert late header snatched us a hard-fought 2-1 victory at Molyneux – a fourth win in five Premier League games under Mourinho.

Speaking to Tottenham Hotspur’s official YouTube channel after the game, Mourinho explained he went with a gut “feeling” to instruct Vertonghen forward for the 91st-minute corner, rather than Moussa Sissoko.
