These were the nights were we promised at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. The Champions League music roaring through the speakers, scintillating attacking football and a resounding win to top it off.
Harry Kane started off the rout inside 10 minutes but it was Son Heung-min who was the star of the show with two goals to put Spurs 3-0 up by half time against Red Star Belgrade, before Kane again and Erik Lamela completed the rout – a performance and result badly needed by Mauricio Pochettino.
So comfortable was the evening that Poch was able to bring Son off with still half an hour to play, with Sunday’s daunting trip to Anfield in mind.
What happened next was one of the best moments yet at our new home…
Exiting the field at the nearest point, as per the new law, allowed Son to experience a special lap of honour on his way round to the bench. Every fan stood and applauded the South Korean, who did his best to acknowledge each and every one of them. This video gives a sample of what happened:
Beautiful moment, amazing player.

If any Spurs player deserves this adulation it is Son. He’s been the epitome of consistency and class during a period when so many of his teammates have forgotten the meaning of both. Nice one Sonny, nice one Son.

Should really go to Everton though….😳
Probably from the Favelas, gang inks.
Something like Lamela before he joined Spurs!
He should’ve been given Andy murrys hip peoples number ages ago
Yep. Said exact same thing when I saw the clip yesterday. Looks a proper handful. Hope the rumours are true
