According to a report from Football Insider, the 6 feet 5-inch defender is a ‘real option’ for Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham are now confident of signing him before the window closes.
The former Manchester City defender has done well for Fulham this past season and he could prove to be a useful squad player for the north London club.
Tottenham need to add more quality and depth to their defence in the coming weeks. Spurs were quite vulnerable defensively last season and ended up conceding 63 goals in the Premier League. They will have to tighten up at the back if they want to improve next season and finish in the top four.
