Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a number of managers since the departure of Antonio Conte and the latest name linked with a move to the north London club is that of Manuel Pellegrini.
The 69-year-old has done a commendable job at Real Betis and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham Hotspur decide to make a move for him at the end of the season.
The former Manchester City manager has a contract with the Spanish club until the summer of 2025 and he is prepared to honour his commitment to the club even though he is ‘one of the names’ on the Tottenham radar.
However, Estadio Deportivo claims that Real Betis are wary of the interest from Tottenham because of the ‘money involved’.
There is no doubt that the north London club can offer him a lucrative package, and Pellegrini will be able to earn more money than he does at the Spanish club.
Tottenham are in desperate need of a quality manager, and Pellegrini has certainly proven himself in the Premier League in the past. He managed to win the league title with Manchester City and he could be the ideal manager to bring some stability to the club.
The 69-year-old has tremendous experience and his calm persona could be exactly what Tottenham need right now.
Bringing in a proven manager like him could help Tottenham convince key players like Harry Kane to stay at the club as well.
It will be interesting to see if Pellegrini is tempted by Tottenham and is ready to return to the premier league in the summer.
