49-year-old Premier League manager Daniel Levy’s favourite option to replace Conte

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move for the Brentford manager Thomas Frank.

A report from Daily Record claims that the 49-year-old Premier League manager is one of the names on Tottenham’s shortlist as they look to replace Antonio Conte. Apparently, other names are in the mix but Frank appears to be Daniel Levy’s favourite.

The Italian will be a free agent in the summer but he could be sacked before the end of the season following his explosive press conference after the draw against Southampton where he criticised the club and the players extensively.

Frank has done an impressive job at Brentford and it is no surprise that he is on the radar of the top clubs. Brentford are currently eighth in the league table and they will be hoping to push for European qualification.

The Bees have played high-intensity attacking football under his management and Brentford have proven to be a tough opposition for the top clubs this season.

Frank would certainly be an exciting acquisition for Tottenham and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for former manager Mauricio Pochettino as well. Former Spain manager at Luis Enrique is also on their shortlist.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to sack Antonio Conte before the end of the season. Someone like Frank is unlikely to leave Brentford midway through the campaign and join them in the middle of the season. Spurs might have to wait until the end of the season to appoint the 49-year-old as their manager.
