£46k-a-week PL ace ‘followed by Tottenham’ as Postecoglou plots bargain buy

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on improving their defensive options and they are hoping to sign the Fulham defender Tosin Adarabiyo.

The 26-year-old Premier League defender will be out of contract at the end of this season and a report from Calciomercato claims that he is ‘followed by’ clubs like Tottenham and West Ham.

Italian giants AC Milan are keen on the player as well. Signing him on a free transfer would represent an excellent coup for all three clubs.

The report further adds that Adarabioyo earns £2.4 million per season (£46k-a-week) at Fulham and it is fair to assume that the three clubs could easily afford that. It will be interesting to see where the defender ends up.

He has extensive experience of performing in the Premier League and he should be able to make an immediate impact if he joins Spurs in the summer.

Tottenham have three quality central defenders at their disposal and Adarabioyo could complete their defensive unit for the foreseeable future. The move would be a major bargain as well.

The opportunity to join Spurs could be a tempting proposition for the defender, who might prefer to continue in London after leaving Fulham.

The North London outfit are well-placed to secure Champions League qualification and they will be an attractive destination for most players.

Meanwhile, the defender will be hoping to play regularly at his new club and it remains to be seen whether Spurs can provide him with the necessary assurances.
