Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Feyenoord manager Arne Slot.
The 44-year-old has done an excellent job at the Dutch club and Feyenoord are currently on top of the Eredivisie standings and they are eight points clear in first place.
The Dutch outfit have played exciting attacking football under his management and they have been organised at the back as well. Only Twente have conceded fewer goals than them in the league so far this season.
Slot is clearly a talented young manager and he could prove to be the ideal long-term replacement for Antonio Conte.
According to a report from De Telegraaf, the manager has a contract with the Dutch club until the summer of 2025 but there is a clause in his contract that allows him to leave for a set fee in the summer of 2024. The report also adds that Slot is “on the list at Tottenham”.
Meanwhile, Conte was recently sacked after a series of disappointing displays and his public outbursts in the media.
Tottenham have been linked with managers like Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino as well.
Slot is unlikely to leave the Dutch club midway through the campaign and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can convince him to take over in the near future.
The north London giants are currently reliant on Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason until the end of the season and it will be interesting to see if they can secure Champions League qualification for the next season.
