Simon Jordan runs rings around any talkSPORT co-host he’s put up with my delivering clear and concise common sense. Let’s look at Simon’s big IFs.
IF he doesn’t believe in Mourinho this one I find questionable as it isn’t Kane that has had a problem assimilating under the Portuguese. The gaffer said he would help Harry ‘explode’ and this has certainly been the case in respect of creating a player that has broader dimensions than before Mourinho took over.
IF Tottenham are prepared to sell him is a non-starter. Slavery was abolished some time ago and if Kane wants out, then it is the selling club’s duty to ensure that they have plenty of contract length to use as leverage.
IF someone is going to write out a cheque in the global economy ladies and gentlemen, I give you… Manchester City.
Kane could stay of course, but that would be assuming he’s happy enough with the notion that he could end his career without winning any major honours.

Honestly I think the champions league will be the driver for City, if they don’t win it this season then increases the chance they’ll go for Kane, if they win it they will go for the younger player
Levy wont let Kane go for less than £100m – anything less will be a PR nightmare.
If someone comes up with the cash, he’s gone. If not, he stays.
Simple as that.
Jordon loves Levy. Talks about him with respect and a hint of jealousy.
I see Kane going on for as long as Sheringham and playing until he is around 40. He is fit, mentally strong and driven and will simply change the way he plays as he ages like Giggs did at Manchester United. It’s a very dangerous president selling your best player as it sends out the wrong message. However, if Kane wants to go there is little Tottenham can do other than get the best possible price and, as you say, also try to get players thrown in if there is anyone decent being offered.
It would never have been £80m to £100m in the summer just 6 months before he went for £16m. With a year left on his contract it would have been around £30m. The press bandy around ridiculous figures. However Eriksen did run his contract down as is his right. Thankfully this hasn’t happened too often as Levy usually manages to get them to sign long term contracts
Yes although psg have a very good left sided centre back I would swap alli for in a instant.
100 million plus player for 2 or 3 years max of Kane?? It’s touch and go…
Indeed. It was what, 80-100M in the summer, or more? And then we got about 16M in January. Horrible waste, same as Dele who apparently had an even higher price tag. We’ll be lucky to get 30M for him now.
I’ll disagree with Jordan on only one point where he says Daniel pushed and pushed until he got what he wanted with Eriksen.
No, he got nowhere near his valuation of Eriksen, the Dane let his contract run down to get his big move and Spurs lost big money on him.
