For a club struggling for positives… Matt Doherty is back in training after a not insignificant period out with a non-specific injury according to Physioroom.
Ben Davies remains out of action with his ever-lingering calf/heel/shin malaise. This presumably leaves Sergio Reguilon clear to retain his left-back spot, despite his fluctuating form.
Our opponents Sheffield United are well and truly injury-ravaged as the phrase goes. Billy Sharp is one of three players out, with a tendon issue that requires surgery. Jack O’Connell is in rehab and the club is waiting to see how he responds. A fracture in Oliver McBurnie’s fifth metatarsal completes the trio.
Chris Basham and Jack Robinson have both returned to training, whilst Sander Berge should now be available after his thigh injury.
Nothing of colossal impact to report for either side and so this game should really be about who is set up correctly.
Ryan Mason says all the right things, but was tactically found wanting against Southampton in the first half of his first game in charge, and who even knows what his instructions were for the Carabao Cup final.

He’s hiding his scar
Worst Charlie Chaplin impression ever
I am pleased you mentioned his hair. It makes him look like the chemistry teacher in a secondary modern!
A must win game let’s hope Ryan gets it right
COYS
A few goals and a clean sheet and a haircut for Ryan.
