27-year-old ace has decided ‘not to continue’ at Tottenham next season

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez is looking for a move away from the club during the summer transfer window.

The 27-year-old has been criticised for his error-prone performances this past season and he is looking to move on in the coming weeks.

According to journalist Pipe Sierra from WinSportsTV, Davinson Sanchez has decided ‘not to continue’ at Tottenham beyond the summer transfer window.

Sanchez has been unable to live up to the expectations since his move from Ajax. The Colombian international was expected to develop into one of the most promising defenders in world football. However, his development has not progressed as expected.

While there is no doubt that the 27-year-old can be a good defender on his day, he is quite inconsistent and Tottenham cannot rely on him to start every week.

The North London giants need to bring in a quality defender this summer, and it makes sense for them to cash in on Sanchez and invest in a more reliable player.

Cristian Romero is the only quality defender at Tottenham right now and Spurs will have to tighten up at the back if they want to get back into the top four and play in the Champions League again.

They have looked quite vulnerable defensively and players like Sanchez and Eric Dier have been largely underwhelming.

The 27-year-old Colombian defender could still get his career back on track with a move away from Tottenham and it remains to be seen where he ends up.

If he can regain his confidence and momentum with regular football, he could be a valuable player for most teams.
