22-year-old Tottenham player names the club he would prefer to play for

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil is currently on loan at Spanish club Sevilla.

The 22-year-old has found it difficult to hold down a starting spot under Antonio Conte and the player joined the Spanish club on loan so that he can play regularly.

The talented young winger has done quite well for the Spanish club so far and he has revealed that he wants to play regularly next season as well.

The player has already informed his agent that staying at Sevilla would be a preferred option for him next season. However, if it does not work out at the Spanish club, he is prepared to move anywhere where he will get ample game time.

“I’ve always told my agent that I always want to play, no matter where,” he added to Estadio Deportivo. “If it’s at Sevilla then much better, when you feel important is when you play. In the elite everyone has talent, but confidence is what gives you the extra point.”

It is unlikely that he will be a regular starter at Tottenham Hotspur and therefore it makes sense for the London club to sell him at the end of the season.

There is no doubt that Gil is a prodigious young talent with a big future ahead of him but it has not worked out for him in English football so far.

The 22-year-old is young enough to fulfil his tremendous potential but he needs to stay at a club where he will have the trust of his manager and regular game time.

Meanwhile, Tottenham could change managers at the end of the season when Antonio Conte’s contract expires.

They have been linked with a number of managers in recent months and it remains to be seen whether the new Tottenham manager is willing to give the 22-year-old winger more opportunities at the Premier League club.
