Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
The 25-year-old Nigerian international has been a key player for Napoli since last season and he helped them win the title as well. The striker has firmly established himself as one of the best players in Europe right now and naturally a number of Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on him.
According to Calciomercato, clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all monitoring his situation. Spurs remain keen on him as well. However, they have a salary cap and they will have to break it if they want to sign the 25-year-old striker.
Osimhen is likely to cost a premium and he will command substantial wages as well. The Napoli striker is a world-class player and it is hardly a surprise that he will be an expensive acquisition.
He could transform Spurs in the final third and turn them into genuine title contenders. The North London outfit decided not to replace Harry Kane at the start of the season, but they need a reliable goalscorer who can lead the line for them. Osimhen is as good as any other option out there and it would be a major coup if Tottenham managed to get the deal done.
The Nigerian has already proven himself in the Italian league, and he will look to take up a new challenge at the end of the season. A move to the Premier League will be an exciting option for him.
