Tottenham Hotspur attacker Son Heung-min has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in recent weeks.
However, journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed to Give Me Sport that Tottenham have nothing to worry about and the South Korean international is fully committed to the North London club.
“Son will have some suitors but there’s no suggestion at this point that he’s anything other than 100% committed to Spurs.”
There have been rumours of a potential contract extension and it remains to be seen whether Son decides to commit his long-term future to the club soon. The 31-year-old is undoubtedly one of the best attackers in the Premier League and he has been a key player for Tottenham since joining the club from Bayer Leverkusen.
Keeping him at the club should be a top priority for Tottenham. They are looking to put together a formidable squad, capable of winning trophies and they need to hold onto their best players. Apart from his qualities on the pitch, Son is one of the leaders of the Tottenham dressing room as well.
Spurs have an exciting project and they have shown improvement under Ange Postecoglou. There is no reason why Son would not want to continue at the North London club and therefore it is fair to assume that a contract extension could be agreed soon.
The update from Ben Jacobs will also come as a major boost for Tottenham and their fans. They will be hoping to hold on to the South Korean international for as long as possible. He is still very much at the peak of his powers and son has scored 13 goals and picked up six assists across all competitions this season.
