Tottenham keen on 22-year-old midfielder after ‘favourable reports’ from scouts

By Saikat -

Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber is reportedly on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs.

A report from 90 Min claims that the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester United have all scouted the player recently.

Tottenham are reportedly keeping tabs on the 20-year-old after ‘favourable reports’ from their scouts. It will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for him in the coming months.

Timber has been an important player for Feyenoord this season, scoring once and picking up three assists across all competitions. He is versatile enough to operate as a central midfielder as well as a defensive midfielder. He has the attributes to develop into a complete central midfielder and a move to the Premier League would be an exciting step up in his career.

His brother Jurrien Timber has already joined Arsenal earlier this season. It remains to be seen whether the 22-year-old is tempted to move to Tottenham if there is a concrete proposal on the table.

Spurs could definitely use more quality and depth in the central midfield and Timber could be a superb long-term addition.

He has the technical attributes to thrive in English football and Ange Postecoglou could certainly use his skill set. The midfielder will help out Tottenham defensively as well as create opportunities for his teammates. He could be a better fit for Tottenham compared to someone like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who is very conservative in his style of play and has been linked with an exit from the club.
