What we are witnessing at Tottenham Hotspur is neither a drill nor the result of an incompetent football manager. The sorry sight is the result of neglect that began under Pochettino, the coach that via Sky some 3 years ago warned of a painful rebuild. There have been a few additions, but it remains debatable that the good outweighed the bad, or whose picks some of them actually were. After all, we saw Mauricio struggle with a number of signings he didn’t sanction, to the point where he moodily told the press pack that his job title needed to be changed to reflect that small fact. Many of the current squad cost Poch his job at Spurs.
In this show, we look at the current situation and implore fans to think, and not simply add to the unproductive noise about not being ‘entertained’ by ‘boring’ football. We’ve heard all that, thanks, and now we’re looking for something of value. Are you ready to join the hunt?
Mourinho was unlikely to tell everyone how cruddy everyone was on his first day. Even his charm doesn’t operate like that.
This was also a comment made before Bale arrived.
Excellent Podcast Harry, but in reality most of us know the score when it comes to Levy and Enic . As long as they have control over what the Spurs faithful get to hear on the MSM they are safe . Its Politics .
Oh well, that’s your problem innit…
Things are going so much better without ‘Botch’ aren’t they? I’ll remind you how ‘amazing’ Jose said the squad was when he took over.
it might not suit your narrative but at Spurs you tow the investment company line or you’re toast. If you can prove otherwise then go ahead.
Leicester are further away from us than at anytime before and ‘Botch’ is nowhere to be seen. Jose is working under the same restrictions and taking his wages in just the same fashion. The only constant here is the owners, you make excuses for them then you’ve got a screw lose. You might need a few drops of Locktite…
Press officers from the ministry of truth. Good podcast.
Still above the Arsenal though ☝
I’m not sure what spin and lies you mean either…. Maureen isn’t a patsy… Noones gagging him, he’s one of the most outspoken managers ever. He’s honest and straight up. Botch I couldn’t tell half the time whether he was joking, lieing or believed in the crap he was feeding us.
Yeah that was Botch on the 6th year mark, after 5 years of being ‘berry appy’ and 5 years of telling us about his ‘WINNING’ philosophy. After winning nothing.. With the golden boot winner and the best defence in the league he failed, then was our big chance and Leicester won it… The previous 20 plus years we were never going to win the title with Manure Chavski and City squads…. Botch was never gagged he came out with loads of rubbish. Like he was walking if he won the CL!…. The guys sat next to the managers are at all pro football clubs. They are called press officers!
We are where we deserve to be. 9th with a nice stadium.
Pochettino’s predictions about the state of the squad, his actual role in terms of recruitment have been widely ignored by those who seem to think he owed Levy everything rather than the other way round.
That’s all in the past, but now it’s Jose’s turn to experience the soul crushing experience of life as a manager under Levy. The 15m a year plus bonuses probably takes the sting out of it somewhat and also contractually requires the management to no break rank and tell the world exactly what’s going on.
Notice that guy who’s ever present at all the pressers over the last few years? He was sat alongside Poch and now he’s sat alongside Jose. This is equivalent to a KGB henchman accompanying western athletes visiting the Eastern Block in the 1970’s.
Everyone is gagged and the Levy’s acting in the Amazon charade was truly atrocious.
The situation at Spurs with the spin and lies is really quite unsettling. There nothing that makes you feel these people are playing a straight bat…
