Savaged By These Fans: Eriksen’s Night Summed Up In One Video Clip

By The Boy -

Not a great showing from the want-away Dane, in fact, trawling through his actions against Norwich City this morning was a complete chore. If the 27-year-old’s performance was a painting, it would have been one those “By Numbers” ones. Safe, uneventful, and ultimately unrewarding.

As if it were needed to be said again, the sooner Eriksen is sold the better. It’s become increasingly intolerable to watch a player that was good, dole out substandard performances simply because he wants out. If there’s any justice in the world, he will be as poor for his next side too and hounded mercilessly as a result.

I thought we were very lucky to win af home to a side adrift at the bottom of the table. That’s where it’s been allowed to get to. The most damning aspect is nobody is surprised we struggled.

I don’t think Gedson is the DM destroyer the team was crying out for. Not sure what role he was supposed to be performing when he came on. The need for a strong DM in the wanyama/Dembele mould is even more pressing now winks is going to be out. But of action to address it there has been none.

It was pretty poor fair in the main I’d agree. I know it’s tempting to think we should be winning comfortably given Norwich’s position but I thought they played really well. It’s not easy to win when your opponents are well organised and work really hard.

I thought we dropped off too much to be honest. We let them play too much. When we stepped up we looked much better.

I agree that Lo Celso gave his best performance but overall that was a shockingly poor display. We struggled to beat a side firmly rooted at the bottom of the table at home in what is stated as one of the best stadiums in the world. It just amplifies the gulf between real estate development and the owners interest in the football club development. Mourinho has clearly been given the script sheet from Levy as his soundbites are becoming increasingly Poochesque with each presser. Moura is not a striker to lead the line. He has to be played wide on the right. Son is probably the best bet at present in a central role and Ali needs to play where he is most effective and that is just off the front man to the left and coming in from the blindside picking up long balls across the box. Play LoCelso in behind on the right side with Ndombele on the left. DM is still a problem ? What exactly is Gedson? Is he an attacking mid or a defensive mid ? He looks lightweight to be a ball winner. Maybe more a transition player linking the play. Who the hell is this Willian Jose guy that apparently we are looking to buy as cover for Kane. The usual cheaper bargain bucket option by Levy yet again?
