The rush to to get the New Destination over the line has caused noting but chaos culminating in the size of debt the Levyologists all warned us about.
Levy & Co., tried to save money and ended up installing a non compliant audio system which was for the grace of god spotted by sheer chance – after having already been signed off by the installers and Haringey Council.
General building work was plagued with allegations of drugs and booze being used on sight – culminating in a man paragliding from the roof in broad daylight.
Now it’s reposted that the South Stand isn’t fit for purpose either.
In a week that has seen fans cooing over the new arena this is another one step forward two steps back for ENIC.
Fans have been purring at videos of pints being poured in seconds and all manner of street food offers, but we’ve had our expectations managed by the manager that January (surprise surprise) is unlikely to be an exciting time transfer wise.
Maybe the new stadium doesn’t need to ever open and enough cash can be generated charging supporters for guided tours?
Perhaps you need to read what you wrote, as you have said “poch is determined”, its “a dream job” and “I’d say that’s his time line” – your timeline you mentioned was 6months to 1yr after the stadium opens. So at best after summer 2019, so 2020 Jan window. My “frustrations” are at people that belittle a timeline. you cant keep putting off investment and if Poch doesn’t know that then perhaps we should let him leave.
Im saying what I think Poch will do, from his perspective, not what me, you or anybody else want.
You need to read what is written rather than letting your frustrations boil over.
Just frustrates me. all the people that think Poch will never leave us because its a dream job…then comments like “he can turn the screw on transfers at the end of next Season”. So we may have some half decent players in 2021, but the ones we currently have will be retired so we will be in the same place we are now, a few good players and some people making up numbers. IF we had spent £50m a season on 1 player rather than 4 we would have been champions by now.
‘We’ were lied to.
I think so
I’ve got an uncle who used to climb up on his house roof and fix leaks with clingfilm and sellotape. I reckon i should send him round to the stadium !!
He’s the obvious choice for them. The people who run the game would Love Utd back up there in place of us too. Its likely Pochy will be offsky.
we had assurances the stadium fund and the transfer fund were not linked, last season we got told to wait until the stadium (should be now) and the season before we got fed the line that we were looking for candidates/developing youth. The “maybe next years” need to stop. with your timeline Kane will be 27 by the time you are expecting Spurs to take transfers seriously. We may as well sell all of our players that could carry some value now and start again in 2020 (that is what you are suggesting – not looking to strengthen until 2020).
Those days left with Fergie. Its a different lure for a manager than a player. For a manager its about what you could do with the resources at your disposal. I think the issue for any manager will be the weight of expectation mixed with the time to meet it. Buying players does not bring instant success and the players at United currently don’t lend themselves to a formation that is useful. They need 2 CB’s, 2 full backs, a defensive midfielder. Its quite ironic really that they need the positions that Jose builds his tactics off of, and the positions they have that are strong are where Jose ignores.
You honestly think working for Levy is a “dream job”? all he has at Spurs is trust from the board and fans, that is easily lost. At a club like United he will be offered time and funds to compete. The fans will see what he has done with us as why he should be given time, and the board will see what Levy has done nad think all he needs is money. I don’t think Poch is safe, we need to ensure he see’s a future worth having with us (not one that he has to make, but one all make together.). Name 3 players worth staying for, and only 1 of them has shown any commitment to us going forward.
Fans I have spoken to want him. they cant name a manger they want more that is attainable. Zidane is probably 2nd.
up and running == end of first complete (or maybe half) season in new stadium.
Poch is determined to be at the top either with us or somebody else and I’d say that’s his time line on this before applying real pressure on Levy to provide proper funds.
He’s not there for ever of course as nothing in life is a certainty but right now, ManU have no chance of getting him
At this point I’m not really fussed. As long as Levy’s around Poch or anyone else won’t be doing anything except attempting to scrape 4th with no personel and winning nothing. Its football Jim, but not as we know it…
By up an running you mean we have not been around since 1882 and Poch only just arrived? Or are you talking about when the latest false dawn has passed? When is it time to turn the screws if its not when you have missed the league by a matter of a few points for 3yrs and made a few Semi finals but not gone further?
I agree, I think Poch knows what his path is. Also, I’m not sure that the ‘Lure’ of Old Trafford is still there, as in the days when Carrick and Berbatov left in a heartbeat to go there. I think the days of Unt clicking their fingers and people going running are not like they used to be..
Huh?
Actually sounds like Utd fans don’t want Maurice cos he’s never won anything.
meant to add when we’re up and running Poch Im sure will start to apply the pressure on Levy
It was you that used “dream job” and you best defence to that is a pay check that is average to poor at United, a training facility and a half built stadium. Then the “better the devil you know” approach on CEO’s? I am not saying he will go, or stay, but don’t delude yourself, managing Spurs maybe the dream to all of us, but I doubt Poch was a 12yr old in Argentina wishing to manage at Spurs, but only if they build a state of the art training facility and a stadium… United will give him youth players, and money to compliment them and keep the good ones. Only issue would be if he feels the board would give him time.
hehehehe
Poch is safe dont worry.
He has the dream job here at Spurs, the only thing lacking of course is transfer funds.
And judging by what he says he is unlikely to walk out.
Plus there is a massive load of crap to sought out at United
Ratboy Neville is already saying seize Poch. That would make for a nice beginning to the new stadium era.
Anyone that thinks Poch is safely at Spurs are deluded, if Levy fails to back him in January, and United offer him what ever he wants, don’t be shocked.
Admit he did good?
Where?
When?
Bluewater was a lot older, and I had a lot of mates work on it. It leaked due to the complexity of the shape of the roof. I very much doubt the stadium would have the same issue.
Only Me
You honestly think working for Levy is a “dream job”? all he has at Spurs is trust from the board and fans, that is easily…
there’s alot worse managerial jobs out there I can assure you!
With ManU, the new manager would have to deal with Martin Edwards. About as appetising as Levy but in a different way.
So what He has is a fantastic state of the art training ground and stadium (once they get the roof repaired), young up an coming players he can mold, virtually total control over footballing matters and £5m per year.
There no such thing as the perfect job.
ps Poch is a smart political mover to and does things in a very clandestine way. When we’re up and running in the new stadium
It never rains, but it pours …..
“non compliant audio system”
What’s that when it’s at home? Was the Alexa software in a strop?
apparently one of the screws holding up a toilet roll holder in a Ladies toilet in The Market Place was loose !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But don’t ask me how I know
Admit he did good?
Where?
When?
Just read about Mourinho. Came to United, acted like a complete t*&t, alienated everyone, blamed the state of affairs on everyone else, basically created a ‘Non Man U Team’, and will now walk away with several Million, and probably be straight into the next ‘Dream Job’ at some other ‘Big Club’. If i did that in my job i would be kicked out with nothing, and struggle to get another job !!!
If there was a Daniel Levy voodoo doll it would be the biggest selling toy this Christmas. This is Money Pit 2 material. All thats left now is for somebody to find Daniel dangling from a hole in the ceiling that was cover up by a rug.
ENIC farce non FC. Bye Poch….
Oi!! Sod off, i didn’t touch the fekking roof!
As someone who has previously worked in air conditioning and have being on roofs up and down the country I can confirm it would be a miracle if there where no leaks.
bluwater in Kent had several and with the type of rain we have now (lots very often)this will increase.
Just admit levy did good
Mourinho sacked. How many gazillion articles now saying Poch to Manure?
I think so
