Double injury boost for Tottenham ahead of the Arsenal game

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a significant injury boost ahead of their highly anticipated match against Arsenal this weekend, with key players Pedro Porro and Richarlison both declared fit for the crucial fixture.

The news comes as a relief for Spurs, who were dealing with the setback of Destiny Udogie’s season-ending injury earlier in the week, adding to concerns over Porro’s availability following his injury during the defeat against Newcastle.

Club insider Paul O’Keefe shared some positive news yesterday, claiming that Pedro Porro is back in training along with Richarlison, who too has been out struggling with an injury.

And Ange Postecoglou has today confirmed that both the Spaniard and the Brazilian are available for this weekend.

Boost for Tottenham: Porro and Richarlison fit to play Arsenal

Speaking ahead of the game against Arsenal, he said (via Football London): “Pedro and Richy (Richarlison) both trained all week so they’ll both be available.”

The return of Porro and Richarlison is expected to bolster Spurs’ lineup significantly. Richarlison, who had been in scintillating form before his injury, notched 9 goals in his last 13 games, while Porro has been a vital cog in Postecoglou’s side throughout the season.

With Tottenham currently sitting in 5th place in the table, trailing 4th-placed Aston Villa by 6 points but with two games in hand, which makes a win against Arsenal vital.
