“It depends on how the players respond” Pundit reckons Mourinho still has the dressing room

By Bruce Grove -

Jermaine Jenas thinks that Jose Mourinho can turn Tottenham’s poor form around as they struggle to get a win now.

The Lilywhites were beaten by Chelsea 1-0 yesterday to make it yet another defeat for Mourinho’s men.

They have now lost three consecutive matches since they beat Wycombe in the FA Cup.

Spurs made the Special One their manager because they want to win trophies and also play in the Champions League.

If he cannot achieve any of those, then there is probably no need to keep him around, but Jenas says it is too soon to sack him.

The former Spurs midfielder was speaking after their loss to Chelsea and said that the Lilywhites can stick with him because he still has the dressing room.

He admits that he would rather see Spurs play attractive football, but their fans want to end their trophy drought, so sticking with him is still ok for now.

The former Spurs midfielder told BT Sport on Thursday night as quoted by Mail Sport: ‘I think he (Mourinho) can turn it around, it depends on how the players respond.

‘Players run dressing rooms, players run football clubs in some points. At the minute we are a seeing a despondent team but I’m seeing enough of a reaction to know that Jose still has them. As long as he still has them, then he stays.

‘I want to see a better brand of football but Spurs fans want to see a trophy.’
