“Ruled out for the rest of the season” – Doctor delivers blow to Tottenham with latest update

By Mehdi Gokal -

Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar has shared the latest on Tottenham winger Manor Solomon.

As per the doctor, the timeline on his return from injury will depend on the extent of the surgery but the player could potentially be sidelined beyond May.

Discussing the player’s injury, the doctor told Tottenham News:

“Solomon just underwent a procedure on his right knee which is a meniscus surgery and the timeline here will depend on the type and extent of the surgery.”

“If it’s a partial trim, then we’re looking at least another six weeks.”

“If it’s a meniscus repair, which is not always an option, then we’re looking at over three months out.”

“However, given his setback, there remains the possibility of him being ruled out for the rest of the season.“

Solomon has had an unfortunate start to life at Tottenham

Solomon, who has had an unfortunate start to his tenure at Tottenham, has been sidelined since October last year due to a meniscus injury to his right knee, which required surgery and an extensive recovery process.

Despite initial hopes of a return in January, the 24-year-old recently underwent another minor knee surgery, further clouding his availability for the remainder of the season.

In fact, former Spurs scout Bryan King also recently raised doubts about Solomon’s future at the club.

The young attacker has struggled with injuries this season and last week, he took to social media to address his situation.

He confirmed that he has not recovered yet and that he is undergoing the rehab to get back to full fitness soon.

He shared the following post on Instagram:

“Hi everyone, lately I’ve been away from social media and focusing solely on my rehab and getting back on the field.

“The last period has been the most difficult and frustrating in my career.

“In the past 5 months I’ve been working as hard as possible to get back to doing what I love the most, but unfortunately, I haven’t fully recovered yet.

“At the same time, I’m full of motivation and will continue to do everything in order to be back stronger than ever to help my club & country.

“Thank you for your support, see you guys soon.”
