Ya-man, you put dat wicked. Some fools don’t get it and think bill nick wouldn’t get it either. Them fools don’t know anything about the art of winning, bit like poch. Poch is a lickle bwoy compared to José
The podcast is always particularly good after a big win and they don’t come much bigger than the one this week.
Good to hear Token Bird also had some money on the boosted ‘Kane to assist’ bet, that one stood out to me too – plus I did take a deep breath and put money of the Spurs win as it was priced 3/1 which I thought was rather generous of the bookies 😉
The Chelsea game will prove/disprove more than this one did for sure.
Good show again👍
Seriously looking forward to next weekends game away to Chelsea. Serious litmus test. Jose will take a draw for starters which is better than we normally get but a win lays down serious credentials.
COYS
Agree with lots of that and that was Maureens finest game for me so far.
Chelsea will be a tough one but after just watching arsenal I’m not worried by them. It’s the fit never give you time on the ball and sit back teams we have to change things up or take more risks .
Throughly enjoyed yesterday though after about 15 mins I actually thought we wouldn’t concede which is very I’m spursy as a fan and our team.
If we win the next 2 I’m just getting drunk for 3 weeks over crimbo.
This would be an idea
Excellent podcast! 👍🏾
THFC fans should simply plagiarise the “he’s magic you know” song for José.
For me the biggest improvement he has brought is discipline. Yes its taken a while to get some form of consistency but now it’s starting to pay off. With a combination of our counter-attacking capability and a defence that is gelling nicely, at least pre Toby injury, then we’re becoming a formidable outfit.
My only slight concern is that whilst we will do well against teams with a high line, like City and Southampton, we don’t look quite so convincing against lesser teams that get 10 behind the ball. It seems that the lads are not so sure whether to attack a la Poch or sit back and counter-attack a la Mou. We end up doing neither and so far have been a bit fortunate to scrape 1 goal wins recently.
But would I rather have Poch football which is fantastic to watch but wins nothing, or Mou football that is a bit bland with low possession, but win trophies? The latter obviously.
The gaffer has certainly worked wonders over time. Compare that performance against City to the one last season when we got a smash and grab. This time we fully deserved it and it was a Mourinho masterclass.
Looking very encouraging, but we need to await the next 3 or 4 games before making over zealous claims about titles and the such.
