Eric Dier knows Tottenham must quickly put their title disappointment behind them to avoid a repeat of last season’s capitulation.
The 1-0 defeat at West Ham on Friday night saw Spurs’ hopes of catching Premier League leaders Chelsea all but disappear.
Last term their title bid was ended by a draw with the Blues, and they promptly lost their last two matches to let north London rivals Arsenal pip them for second.
And midfielder Dier admits Tottenham need to pick themselves up for an emotional final game at White Hart Lane against Manchester United next Sunday, before they end the season with trips to Leicester and Hull.
“Our aim was to win every game until the end of the season, that’s gone now and from Monday we’ll be ready to go again,” he told the club website.
“Nothing changes. We will try to finish strongly and after the way we finished last season, we want to put that right this season.
“We need to bounce back and finish the season strongly.”
