Son and Kane are amazing. Not much to disagree with any comments. Ardiles, Hoddle, Perryman, Waddle, Gazza and Teddy in my childhood days. VDV was a tornado, but like Jurgen he was not here long enough. Maybe their short stays added to the love, who knows. Super Jan is right up there. A phenomenal player who I adored.

In the season he was here but he soon packed his bags!

Vertognhen and Dembele should be up there, but I think the last truly loved player was probably Van der Vaart on the basis that he “got” what Spurs were about and proudly showed what it meant to him.

No love for Klinsmann?

Jan Vertonghen for me. Can anybody think of a better left footed centre back over the last 10-15 years? If we had peak Vertonghen alongside Romero and peak Dembele in our midfield we would be right up there challenging.

Loved Ginola, but Hoddle probably…

Leaving aside Kane and Son I’d say Paul Gascoigne was loved as much for his personality as his football. Before Gascoigne it would be Glenn Hoddle

Great players like Bale and Modric, Berbatov were admired but in my case not loved.

Last few seasons Kane, now probably Sonny. Both deserve to hold up a trophy.
