Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old is on loan at Aston Villa, and he is expected to leave Manchester United permanently in the summer. Aston Villa have an option to sign the player permanently for a fee of around £40 million. It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done.
According to Football Insider, even though Tottenham want to sign the player, they might not be able to do so unless they win the UEFA Europa League and secure Champions League qualification for the next season. Rashford wants to compete at a high level, and he dreams of a move to Barcelona.
Tottenham could use Marcus Rashford

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops. Rashford will add goals, unpredictability and flair to the Tottenham attack. He is versatile enough to operate anywhere across the front three, and his Premier League experience makes him an attractive option for the club. He could transform Tottenham in the attack if he joins the club.
There is no doubt that he is a top-class player, and he has been hailed as “unstoppable”. He will be hoping to sort out his long-term future and focus on his football once again. The likes of Aston Villa and Tottenham must do everything in their power to get the deal done. It would be an exceptional acquisition for both clubs.
Can Barcelona afford him?
Meanwhile, Barcelona need attacking depth as well, and it will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for the player. They are going through financial difficulties, and they could be priced out of a move. Apart from the £40 million asking price, they will have to shell out substantial money for the player’s wages as well.
