Tottenham Hotspur secured a commanding 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford, taking full advantage after Bruno Fernandes was sent off in the 42nd minute.
Despite creating numerous chances and registering an expected goals (xG) tally of 4.67, Spurs were unable to capitalise on several key opportunities, particularly from Timo Werner.
Playing on the left wing, Werner had two clear 1v1 chances but was denied both times by Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Following Werner’s second missed opportunity in the 56th minute, Tottenham fans began chanting for academy star Mikey Moore, expressing their desire to see the youngster in action with chants of “Mikey Moore, he’s one of our own.”

Manager Ange Postecoglou heeded the fans’ calls, bringing Moore on to replace Brennan Johnson 20 minutes later.
The 17-year-old winger, making only his fifth senior appearance for Spurs, showed flashes of his potential and nearly added a fourth goal for Tottenham late in the game with a shot that went wide after cutting inside.
Moore’s cameo demonstrated Tottenham’s confidence in their young talents, and fans are excited to see how the promising winger continues to develop under Postecoglou. His brief yet impactful appearance offers a glimpse of his potential to play a key role in the team’s future.
