What does the THST actually do for fans?

In January 2026, their Five Principles Survey (with over 4,500 responses) showed football fan satisfaction with ownership at an all-time low across metrics like “Commit to Winning” (scored 1.65/10), “Fans First” (1.9/10), and others—sharp drops even after the 2025 Europa League win. They publicly highlighted this as a “stark and troubling” verdict on long-term strategy, squad quality, and delivery, and they’ve pushed for “sustained improvement.”

Direct Engagement — In January 2026, THST board members met senior club figures to discuss fan concerns, including the quiet January transfer window, perceived lack of ambition, manager Thomas Frank’s comments, and player-fan incidents. They issued statements criticising the club’s direction and calling for clearer plans and ambition. This aligns with their stated aim: uniting fans, amplifying collective voices, and strengthening club-community ties.

Independence and Structure — They operate democratically as a non-profit, with elected leadership focused on all fans (not just members). They participate in the club’s Fan Advisory Board and consistently advocate on issues like pricing, concessions, transfer policy, and ownership (e.g., 55% of fans in 2025 favoured a change if credible).

Fan opinions on the THST itself seem largely positive in context—supporters often reference their surveys and statements as credible barometers of dissatisfaction (e.g., with ownership/ENIC, team performance, and recent poor form).

There’s little widespread criticism of the THST; instead, frustration targets the club/board/manager amid Spurs’ struggles (14th in the Premier League after 24 games, injury crises, turgid football under Frank, and post-Europa League collapse). In short, the THST is doing a solid job at what it exists for:

independently amplifying fan concerns, holding the club accountable through data and dialogue, and pushing for better governance and ambition—especially when things are going poorly on the pitch and in the boardroom. If anything, their recent activity highlights how engaged and critical they are during this rough patch.
