As Doncaster Rovers cruised to a commanding 5-1 victory over Grimsby Town, Tottenham loanee Matthew Craig etched his name into the scoresheet, notching his first professional goal.
The 20-year-old midfielder, on loan to Doncaster to gain valuable senior experience, showcased his burgeoning talent with a composed finish in the 72nd minute.
With a deft touch, Craig expertly guided the ball into the bottom corner from approximately 15 yards out, extending Doncaster’s lead to 4-1 and effectively sealing the match.
Craig’s impressive performance comes as no surprise, given his commendable track record with Tottenham’s U21 squad.
Over the past couple of years, he has consistently impressed, amassing 56 appearances, during which he contributed 6 goals and 5 assists.
Now, on loan at Doncaster, Craig continues to showcase his potential, making a significant impact with one goal and one assist in just five appearances thus far.
