Tottenham have conceded just five minutes into the second half, with Enzo Fernández giving Chelsea the lead in a fiercely contested London derby at Stamford Bridge.
The goal stemmed from a lapse in Spurs’ defensive organization, allowing Cole Palmer too much time and space on the left flank.
The former Manchester City starlet, who has been Chelsea’s creative spark this season, delivered a pinpoint cross into the six-yard box.
Despite not being the tallest player on the pitch, Fernández managed to sneak in between Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, rising unchallenged to nod the ball past Guglielmo Vicario.

It was a moment that summed up Tottenham’s struggles so far in this game.
The visitors have looked disjointed, failing to deal with Chelsea’s attacking theat, specially from the left side.
Enzo Maresca’s side, keen to make a statement against Spurs, have been sharper in possession and more aggressive going forward.
Tottenham on the other hand look lost and low on confidence as they have most most of the games recently.
Postecoglou will now be demanding a reaction from his players. Spurs must find a way to raise their intensity, increase their tempo, and force Chelsea onto the back foot.
With quite some time left to play, it remains to be seen what changes Ange makes and if Spurs can turn the game around.
