Spurs’ lead did not last too long as Nottingham Forest equalised just around the half-hour mark.
Forest duo Neco Williams and Anthony Elanga combined effectively on the right flank, with Elanga drilling a ball into the box where the striker Chris Wood was arriving.
The cross took a deflection off Cristian Romero before reaching Wood, who expertly side-footed it into the bottom left corner with his first touch, swiftly equalising for the visitors.
