Tottenham’s hopes for a Premier League top-four finish suffered a significant setback as they suffered a 4-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Saturday.
Spurs conceded two quick goals around the half-hour mark of the first half, with their summer signing Micky van de Ven having a forgettable performance.
The Dutch centre-back slipped as the last man while defending both goals, allowing the Magpies to capitalise and score.
Newcastle right-back Tino Livramento was seen mocking the defender with Alexander Isak post-game. He was filmed saying:
“For both those first two goals, did you see what happened to their centre back?”
