Spurs regained the lead early in the second half courtesy of a thunderous strike from defender Micky van de Ven.

Tottenham’s persistent pressure after halftime resulted in a corner, which was played short by Son Heung-min.

The South Korean then teed up Van de Ven at the edge of the box, and the centre-back unleashed a stunning shot into the top-left corner to give the home side a 2-1 lead.

This marks the Dutchman’s inaugural goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and it comes at a crucial time of the season.
