On Saturday night, Harry Kane made headlines once more. But, unfortunately for him and all England supporters, it was for the wrong reasons as his crucial penalty miss knocked them out of the World Cup.
Kane, who had leveled the game for England from the penalty spot in the World Cup quarter-final, was given another chance five minutes from full-time after Olivier Giroud had restored France’s lead.
But this time pressure got to him with his Spurs teammate Hugo Lloris in goal and he blasted it up in the air which ended England’s dream of qualifying into the semi-finals of the World Cup.
And new video has emerged of a France star, Olivier Giroud, mocking Kane’s miss. Tottenham fans will be familiar with Giroud from his time on rival Premier League sides.
The France players all celebrated, as you would after an opponent’s missed penalty late in a game. But Giroud almost went too far, sprinting into the box and celebrating right next to Kane.
