Matt Doherty has given Spurs the lead against Nice with a fine strike from a Kulusevski assist.
Bryan Gil passed the ball to Kulusevksi who played the ball for the Irishman who had made a nice run from the left side. The luck was on Spurs side as the pass deflected off the Nice defender and sat nicely for the Irishman who smashed it inside the net with a brilliant finish.
This was Doherty’s 4 goal in the last 3 games for Spurs, an extraordinary return from a player who is playing wing-back.

On current form, he is no doubt the best option for Conte for the right wing-back position but it remains to be seen whether he has done enough to convince the Italian to start him ahead of Emerson Royal.
