Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has named Tottenham winger Son Heung-min in his dream Premier League 5-a-side team.
In a feature on the Liverpool website, Sonny got the nod from Van Dijk alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and three Manchester City stars, in a lineup that was not allowed to feature his own Anfield teammates.

The Dutchman said of the 27-year-old: “He’s quick, he’s strong, he goes out there to make life hell on the pitch for a defender. And his finishing – right foot, left foot – is just outstanding so I think I would pick him.”
That is high praise from the world’s best centre-back, and although clearly challenged by the South Korean, Van Dijk has won their battles thus far.
Son hasn’t scored in six outings against the Reds since Van Dijk’s arrival, and the Liverpool leader’s most iconic piece of defending arguably came at Son’s expense with this expert marking job in a 2-1 defeat in March 2019, equally famous from a Spurs standpoint for Moussa Sissoko’s glaring miss.
Ederson, Aymeric Laporte and Kevin De Bruyne completed the quintet.
