Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a number of defenders this summer and even though they have signed Clement Lenglet from Barcelona on a loan deal, they are reportedly on the lookout for another centre-back.
According to a report via Fiorentina.it, the Premier League side has run the rule over Serbian international defender Nikola Milenkovic who could be on the move this summer. The report says Spurs have ‘already done a survey’ of the player in recent weeks.
The Fiorentina defender is still undecided about his future and he has been linked with the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus as well.
All three clubs will be able to provide him with Champions League football next season and it remains to be seen whether the player is ready to make a step up in his career.
Tottenham have an excellent centre-back in Cristian Romero and Milenkovic could be the ideal long-term partner for the Argentine international at the heart of Antonio Conte’s defence.
The 24-year-old has shown his quality in the Italian league and he has the potential to succeed in the Premier League as well. A manager like Conte could help him develop further and fulfill his potential at the London club.

Maddison at least has two functional knees (Zaniolol has had an ACL injury to each knee in the last few seasons), hits the home grown quota and knows the league. If there’s money to be spent on an AM, Maddison must be above Zaniolo in the pecking order, mustn’t he?!

Well ive certainly lowered my expectations after yesterday ,we so struggle against the low block park the bus teams and half the league will be using that tactic .
As someone else noted we drew 1-1 with Seville and looked the worse side, le arse hammered them 6-0.
If he looks decent in training going forward and has a good work ethic Conte will want and have to play him.

Well, what did we learn from that? Nothing really that we didnt know at the end of last season. Docherty and Emerson are not good enough. We have no attacking threat if Kane and Son do not score. We lack creativity in the midfield. We cannot defend corners. Remind me how much we paid for Richarlison? How many shots did we have on target? We are still three or four top class players away from winning anything?

It makes sense to me. If we can’t sign a top level defender, and Tanganga and Rodon move on, then Milenkovic looks to be the best of the rest.
