Transfer insider Dean Jones has named the three players that Spurs have identified for the summer.
It has been said that Spurs will be prioritising a winger over a centre-forward. Among the players they are interested in are Wolves’ Pedro Neto, Barcelona’s Raphinha, and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.
As per Dean Jones, Ange Postecoglou is looking to bolster his squad by adding one of the wide forwards mentioned above.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Jones confirmed Spurs’ interest in Wolves star Pedro Neto, but stated they will face stiff competition for him.
He also mentioned that the young Spanish winger Nico Williams and Raphinha are among the Lilywhites’ wish list, indicating they are keeping their options open for the summer transfer window.
The journalist said:
“Pedro Neto is somebody on their radar. Raphinha has been mentioned as well. Nico Williams, at Athletic Bilbao, is another player that they’re continuing to monitor.
“It will be interesting. Pedro Neto will be a very difficult one to get because of the competition that there will be to actually sign him.
“But Tottenham have signed a couple of players recently, that they’ve done well to get through the door, and they will believe that anything is possible.”
Several clubs are said to be interested in signing Pedro Neto, including Liverpool and Arsenal.
The winger is currently under contract with Wolves until June 2027. However, recent reports suggest that the English club may not stand in the way of the player’s departure if a significant offer arrives at the end of the season.
According to the Athletic’s David Ornstein, Wolves will be seeking around £80 million for the right-winger.
The proposed fee might not align with Tottenham, who could explore other options like Raphinha.
Despite the Brazilian’s desire to remain at Camp Nou, Barcelona are contemplating selling him due to financial constraints.
Spurs hold a favourable opinion of Raphinha, having been impressed by his performances during his time in the English top flight with Leeds United.
Tottenham have been quite busy in the last two windows, and it will be exciting to see the club’s moves in the summer.
