Tottenham are hoping to sign Edmond Tapsoba from Bayer Leverkusen before the summer transfer window closes.
The 24-year-old Bundesliga defender is reportedly a target for the North London club, and they are currently ‘talking’ with the German outfit regarding a potential summer transfer as per Paul O Keefe.
It remains to be seen if there is a positive conclusion to the ‘ongoing’ transfer pursuit. Apparently, agreeing on personal terms with the player will not be an issue.
It’s ongoing. I only know they’re talking – nothing agreed yet

Spurs need to improve their defensive options this summer and Tapsoba would be a quality acquisition.
The 24-year-old has all the tools to develop into a top-class Premier League defender and he could prove to be an upgrade on players like Davinson Sanchez.
Tottenham ended up conceding 63 goals in the Premier League last season and they will have to improve in that department if they want to get back into the Champions League next season.
Spurs have been linked with other defenders as well and it will be interesting to see who they end up signing eventually.
Tapsoba has proven his quality in the Bundesliga over the years, and he will be keen to take on a new challenge at this stage of his career.
The opportunity to showcase his qualities in the Premier League will be an exciting option and he could find it hard to turn down.
The 24-year-old will want to take the next step in his career and moving to the north London club would be ideal for his development.
