Tottenham have been linked with a surprise move for Barcelona attacker Raphinha.
Football Transfers reported that Spurs have dropped their interest in Ivan Toney are have turned their attention towards the Brazilian.
Barcelona are willing to sell the winger but have slapped a €70m price tag on him.
Raphinha scored 10 goals in his debut season at the Nou Camp, helping Xavi’s side win the La Liga title in the process.
However, he has been restricted to just five starts so far this campaign.
As per the latest from Spanish news outlet SPORT, Tottenham will ‘continue pushing’ to get Raphinha but are not willing to pay the €70m.
Instead, the report states Spurs ‘will offer a significant amount of money’ as well as include a player in the deal.
The report mentions Cristian Romero as someone who ‘stands above the rest’ in a possible player plus cash deal.
Raphinha has proven himself in the Premier League with Leeds and was one of the stand out players in the league during his two years at the club scoring 17 goals and assisting 12.

Cristian Romero has been one of the best players under Ange. Him alongside summer signing Micky van de Ven have formed a solid partnership at the heart of the defense.
Losing one of your key players in order to sign Raphinha may not exactly be a great deal for Spurs.
The only way losing Romero would make sense if Spurs sign another top-class centre-back to partner Micky van de Ven.
