€30m attacker ‘on the list’ at Spurs, they are ‘strongly interested’ along with West Ham

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Genoa attacker Albert Gudmundsson at the end of the season.

According to a report from Gazzetta Dello Sport, the 26-year-old Icelandic attacker is ‘on the list’ at Tottenham, but they are not the only English club keen on him. Tuttomercatoweb adds that West Ham United are in the race as well and the two London clubs are ‘strongly interested’.

The 26-year-old attacker has been in impressive form the season, scoring 12 goals across all combinations. He could prove to be a useful acquisition for Tottenham and West Ham. Both clubs are in need of a quality attacker at the end of the season. It will be interesting to see where the Icelandic international ends up.

Gudmundsson is versatile enough to operate in the wide areas as well a centre forward. He is the ideal option for Spurs in the attack. The North London outfit have attackers who are capable of slotting into multiple roles and the Genoa star fits the profile.

A move to the Premier League will be an exciting step in his career and he will look to prove himself at a high level. Tottenham are well placed to secure Champions League qualification for the next season and they could provide him with the platform to showcase is abilities in a Premier European competition.

Meanwhile, West Ham will need to bring in an upgrade on Michail Antonio and Danny Ings at the end of the season. The 26-year-old Serie A star would be the ideal option for them.

The attacker is available for a fee of around €30 million and both English clubs certainly have financial muscle to afford him. He should prove to be a useful acquisition for a reasonable price in the summer.
