Tottenham will face competition from London rivals for 26-year-old Premier League ace

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo in recent months but they will face competition from West Ham United for his signature.

A report from Football Insider claims that the Hammers have joined the race to sign the 26-year-old central defender at the end of the season. He will be free agent in the summer and West Ham are hoping to secure his services on a bargain.

Tottenham need to sign a quality central defender as well and the arrival of the Fulham star would complete the defensive unit for the foreseeable future. They have three quality central defenders in Cristian Romero, Micky Van de Ven and Radu Dragusin. Manager Ange Postecoglou has recently admitted that they need to sign another central defender in the summer.

The 26-year-old central defender is well settled in the Premier League and he is used to English football. He could make an immediate impact if he joins Tottenham or West Ham. Both clubs will need to tighten up at the back if they want to compete for trophies in the coming seasons. Signing an experienced defender like Adarabioyo on a free transfer could prove to be a masterstroke.

Adarabioyo could be tempted to join Tottenham or West Ham

The defender could be tempted to try out a new challenge at this stage of his career and a move to Tottenham or West Ham could be an exciting opportunity for him. The Hammers are currently competing in the Europa League and it will be interesting to see if they can secure European football for the next season.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are pushing for Champions League qualification and they are fourth in the standings.
