Tottenham could sign Youssef En-Nesyri for a price much lower than Sevilla’s initial €30 million valuation.
Ange Postecoglou is looking to make major changes to his squad ahead of next season. He wants to add more quality in the attacking areas of the pitch and it seems to be one of the priorities for Tottenham.
The North London club have their eyes set on Youssef En-Nesyri and according to Estadio Deportivo via SportWitness, Spurs could sign the 27-year-old striker for a cut-price fee. While Sevilla have set an asking price of €30 million, interested clubs are unlikely to meet their demands and they might have to accept a much lower fee as they look to balance their books.
En-Nesyri has been an integral part of the Spanish club’s first team since joining them in the winter of 2020. The Moroccan international has only gone from strength to strength over the years. Last season, the 27-year-old found the back of the net on 20 occasions and even bagged three assists.
He is an integral part of their first team but with his contract running out in a year, Sevilla look all set to sanction his departure. They want to raise €30 million from his departure, but the reality is that they will have to accept a much lower fee as they need to secure a sale before the end of June to balance their books.
Sevilla are willing to accept a nominal upfront fee with bonuses that could take the final fee closer to their asking price.
On paper, En-Nesyri could be the ideal fit for Tottenham. He has the physicality and technical attributes to do well in English football. The North London club have the financial means to get the deal over the line as well. It seems that they are playing the waiting game for now as they look to sign the player for a reasonable price.
