Tottenham Hotspur is looking to add more creativity to the team and has identified Franco Mastantuono as a target.
The 18-year-old is highly rated at Real Madrid, and they are not willing to sell him permanently. However, they are aware that the player needs to play more often in order to develop further. They are prepared to send him out on loan, but the option to extend it for another year.
According to reports from Spain, Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to accept those conditions in order to get the deal done.
Spurs could use Franco Mastantuono
They could use more creativity in the final third, and Mastantuono would be an excellent addition. He can operate as a winger as well as a central attacking midfielder. He will help create opportunities for his teammates. Regular football in the Premier League could bring out the best in the player. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can provide him with the opportunities he needs.
They have multiple players playing in his position, and accommodating the 19-year-old in the starting lineup could be tricky. The young attacker will not want to sit on the bench at the north London club. He needs regular opportunities to fulfil his potential. Mastantuono has been tipped to have an “incredible future”.
Mastantuono needs game time
There is no doubt that the move to the Premier League could be an interesting one for him, but he needs to join a club where he has a defined role in the starting lineup.
He has played just over 1400 minutes of first-team football in all competitions this season, and he has three goals and an assist to his name this season.
Mastantuono is a tremendous talent with a bright future, and he could develop into a top-class player with the right guidance. It is no surprise that Real Madrid does not want to lose the player permanently. It remains to be seen whether they can secure a suitable loan for him so he can continue his development with regular opportunities.
